Beginning in March, Kentucky Utilities and Louisville Gas and Electric customers should notice a dip in their monthly bills.
The two companies announced Monday they will file a unanimous settlement agreement with the state Public Service Commission. It comes following passage of the federal tax cut legislation.
KU and LG&E are requesting approval to return tax savings to customer this spring.
For a residential KU customer using 1,179 kilowatts of electricity per month, the bill reduction would be about 5.3%. For a Louisville Gas & Electric customers using slightly less power, that reduction is about 5.6%.
