A McCracken County Librarian is a finalist for a national public service award.
Aaron Williams is the Adult and Digital Services Librarian at McCracken County Public Library.
He is a finalist for the NextGen Public Service Award which recognizes public sector leaders for their dedication to improving and invigorating government.
Williams’ recognition comes from his efforts in developing the library’s digital toolbox lending program.
He also partnered with the Kentucky Career Center and the West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Adult Learning Center to launch the Adult Career Education class series for job seekers.
Williams is a 2009 graduate of Lone Oak High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky.
The NextGen Public Service Awards Reception will be held on Wednesday, August 8 in Washington, D.C.
