Owensboro is hosting an interfaith vigil tonight in honor of the eleven victims of Saturday’s Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
The ceremony will be held in front of Temple Adath Israel at 5:30 p.m.
The Owensboro Synagogue holds Friday evening study sessions and draws both Jewish and non-Jewish people.
The man accused of the murders inside the Pittsburgh synagogue appeared in court for the first time today and was charged with 29 counts, including federal hate crimes charges.
Prosecutors are vowing to pursue the death penalty against 46-year-old Robert Bowers.
