The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Tennessee Department of Transportation are holding a public meeting Tuesday in Hazel to discuss changes coming to US 641.
The project is focused on improving safety and mobility along the corridor in southern Calloway County to the Tennessee state line. KYTC expects construction to begin along the Kentucky portion in late 2020.
Officials want input from local residents and travelers on the design and route for the new four-lane highway. The meeting will include a project overview, alternative options and public feedback.
The meeting is at the Hazel Baptist Church Gymnasium and begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Calloway County Fiscal Court was awarded a $23 million BUILD Grant to expand US 641 from Clarks River Bridge south of Murray to the Tennessee line.
