Tim Tebow To Speak At Paducah Church To 'Fight Fatherless Epidemic'
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will speak at a church in Paducah in an effort to combat the region’s “fatherless epidemic.”
Idols Aside Ministries in a release said the event will benefit the Sons Without Fathers program. The initiative helps fatherless youth build confidence through outdoors and sports programs.
Co-founder of Idols Aside Ministries Mark Wright said ‘almost 40 percent’ of homes nationwide are lacking an active father in the home.
“We are here to help those kids that don’t have an active father in the home,” Wright said. “There’s a lot of amazing dads out there that are doing a great job and we’re so thankful for them, but when the home is broken, it creates a lot of challenges.”
Wright said Tebow will share the gospel, his story, and the vision of Idols Aside Missionaries. The event will be on November 12 at 6:30 p.m. featuring music performed by Jason Crabb. Tickets cost $30 dollars each.
