Report: Kentucky minimum wage earnings falls below poverty line

A Kentuckian who works a full-time job earning the state’s minimum wage would now be considered to be living in poverty by government standards, according to a report by a Kentucky research group released last month.

President Biden plans to sign an executive order on Tuesday that will kick off the rulemaking process for a higher minimum wage for employees of federal contractors.
