If you can’t figure out who it is that got up and left, then you know you have the good stuff. These are the principles by which the Blind Corn Liquor Pickers pick corn liquor. As for music, they have no principles at all. Its just whatever feels right. Bluegrass takes the biggest hit; but folk, swing, progressive rock, funk, and jazz all have their boundaries violated. Great Gatsby Jazz Funk Odyssey

One hint of a Gatsby show is a reason to get dressed up like the Depression hasn't hit yet and there's a speak easy just around the corner. But who are The Great Gatsby Jazz Funk Odyssey? A four man ensemble from Paducah, Kentucky, are the sole practitioners of get down funk and jazz that hasn't been "Brick House"'ed to death. Taking cues from Stevie Wonder and George Clinton, the Gatsby explores the outer limits of their own genre by testing the boundaries with every performance. (from Facebook)
