Jail Escapee Captured in Mayfield

An inmate who walked away from a detention center in Murray yesterday is now back in custody. 

Calloway County Jail officials contacted Kentucky State Police yesterday evening reporting 21-year-old Bradley Watkins of Mayfield walked away from the Class D Inmate Facility in Murray. Police say Watkins then stole a van owned by Bad Bob's Barbeque restaurant and drove it to Mayfield, where he was later arrested. The van was later found in Mayfield’s WalMart parking lot.
