Underwriter Spotlight: Smile Station Family Dentistry

Smile Station in Paducah

Finding a name for his new dental office was easy for Dr. Scott Bridges, D.M.D. He recently completed renovations on the old Texaco station at 5504 Reidland Road in Paducah, cleverly calling it the Smile Station.

Now open and accepting new patients, the fully renovated, modern office with a nostalgic past, vintage decor and friendly staff will give everyone a reason to smile.

As a "full service" dental office, "fillings" aren't the only service Dr. Bridges and the Smile Station team provide. They offer routine cleanings and exams for the family along with dental implants, teeth whitening and denture care. Sedation is also available for a more comfortable visit and Smile Station even offers a Dental Discount program for those patients without dental insurance.

In addition to providing dental care, Dr. Bridges is passionate about preservation and giving back to the community. Smile Station recently joined the list of businesses that support WKMS through underwriting and make our community programming and news possible.

He adds "I support WKMS because in our world of quick sound bites and often misleading internet sources, WKMS and National Public Radio attempt to provide a deeper understanding of events, cultures and ideas through in-depth reporting and storytelling."

Interested in becoming a new patient? You can check out the list of services, learn more about the dental discount program and even request an appointment by visiting the Smile Station's website. There are also photos and the latest news at their Facebook page.

Starting at WKMS in 2014, Dixie is the station's Corporate Support Manager, working with local businesses and community organizations. She's been an avid supporter of public radio since her teenage years. Other than public radio, her passions include live music, natural health and nutrition, hiking, traveling, and animals. She serves on the Paducah Main Street Board and is a member of the Paducah-McCracken County NAACP and the Heath Family Resource & Youth Services Center Advisory Council. Dixie and her husband, local musician and historian Nathan Lynn, reside in Paducah with their two kids.
