A Paris, Tenn., minister has been arrested in a prostitution sting. Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says 33-year-old Brian Ross Wimberly was among eight men arrested in a sting operation, and charged with soliciting prostitution. Wimberly is Minister of Students and Family Discipleship at First Baptist Church in Paris. Church senior pastor Dr. Trent Bullock says Wimberly has been placed on leave as church officials gather more information about the arrest.
"We are praying for Brian and his family during this very difficult time," added Bullock.
Redmon says police investigators placed an ad on a well-known website Thursday. A female detective fielded calls from potential “Johns” and made arrangements to meet in a local hotel. Police arrested the men when they agreed to pay for sex.
