Hear Johnny Appleseed's Live Session on Sounds Good

Nashville-based country and western band Johnny Appleseed performed live in WKMS Studio B today on Sounds Good. They're on their way through the area ahead of a performance in St. Louis tonight. We heard a set of new music, including a few unreleased tracks and talked about the band's origins around the western swing sound.

Hear the live set:

Johnny Appleseed aims to capture the sounds and styles of Bob Wills' western swing, Ray Price's big band swing, mixed and delivered to a new audience. Their first EP released earlier this year, featuring three original songs.
