THURSDAY JULY 3 SPECIALS:
Jive House Funky 4th of July - (9 p.m.)
Join hosts John McMillen and Brad Robertson for a funky 4th of July featuring Ray Charles, Ike & Tina Turner, Syl Johnson, Rufus Thomas, Johnny Otis, Curtis Mayfield and many others! We'll start the fireworks for the whole weekend on Jive House!
FRIDAY JULY 4 SPECIALS:
Sounds Good: Regional Voices featuring Pokey LaFarge - (11 to Noon)
Regional Voices, is a series from WNIN in Evansville. Hosted by Cass Herrington, this episode features music and conversation with Americana Swing Jazz singer and bandleader Pokey LaFarge from a February 22 2014 concert in New Harmony, Indiana as part of the Under The Beams concert series. Songs include: "Drinking Whiskey Tonight", "Bowlegged Woman", "Kentucky Mae", "Central Time" "The Riverboat Shuffle" and others.
Sounds Good: American Music Sounds Good - (Noon to 1 p.m.)
American Music Sounds Good. This is a one hour Sounds Good special hosted by Tracy Ross, featuring great American music by artists like Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Townes Van Zandt and Neko Case.
Fresh Air: American Roots Music In Studio - (3 to 4 p.m.)
For the 4th of July, an hour of American roots music featuring a studio performance by brothers Dave and Phil Alvin. Their new album features songs by blues man Big Bill Broonzy.
World Cafe: All-American Tunes - (7 to 9 p.m.)
Spend July 4 with World Cafe as the show features two hours of all-American tunes -- only songs with "America" or "American" in the title. Add your picks on World Cafe's Facebook page.

SATURDAY JULY 5 SPECIALS:
Juke Joint Shuffle: So Long, It's Been Good to Know You - (1 to 3 p.m.)

A Prairie Home Companion kicks off a yearlong celebration with a show over 4th of July weekend, with a three-day outdoor festival at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Garrison Keillor welcomes guests Old Crow Medicine Show, Iris DeMent, Robin & Linda Williams, Gillian Welch, The Wailin' Jenneys, Butch Thompson, Jearlyn & Jevetta Steele, members of the original Powedermilk Biscuit Band. Also, hear regular favorites Richard Dworsky and the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and the Royal Academy of Radio Actors - Sue Scott, Tim Russell, and sound effects man, Fred Newman.
