A Lexington-based bank is taking home the Kentucky State Fair's grand champion ham for $600,000 dollars.

Central Bank made the winning bid in a charity auction at the Kentucky Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast this Thursday.

The prize-winning pork came from Broadbent Hams of Kuttawa. The company has won grand champion more than a dozen times. Two years ago their ham was auctioned for $2 million dollars.

The ham was judged for its aroma, shape, color and radio of lean-to-fat.

Central Bank services Lexington, Louisville and other areas in central and northern Kentucky. Ag Commissioner Ryan Quarles said the money will be spread across multiple charities of the company's choice.

Governor Matt Bevin, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senator Rand Paul were among guests at the breakfast.
