Downtown Paducah Hotel Franchise Announcement Could Come Within a Week

The Paducah Riverfront Development Authority plans to reveal the franchise for a new downtown hotel.

PRDA Executive Director Steve Doolittle says the city wants to release the franchise with an architectural rendering. But the rendering could delay the roll-out.

In December, PRDA announced the hotel was coming to Paducah and required the developers to invest a minimum $17.5 million in construction. The group expects to bring more than 90 jobs.

Downtown Paducah has been without an "anchor" hotel since the closure of Executive Inn in 2010 and its demolition in 2011.
