Whitehall Paducah Plant Gets Expansion

via UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries, Inc. Facebook Page

A Paducah manufacturing plant is getting an expansion that will create up to 50 jobs within the next year. UACJ Automotive Whitehall Industries Inc. is adding a 56,000 square foot expansion to their facility that will include machining centers, robotics and fabrication equipment.

The UACJ Corporation produces aluminum rolled products, extrusions, foil, castings and forgings. Paducah Economic Development said in a release the corporation decided to expand to address growing demand for aluminum components from the U.S. automotive industry. Many vehicles now use lighter parts over heavier steel as a means to improve fuel efficiency. Paducah Mayor Brandi Harless said the expansion is an example of Paducah’s role as “an advanced manufacturing hub.”
