Paducah is launching a website with the purpose of connecting residents to remote work. Paducah Mayor Brandi Harless says with the communication technologies readily available, remote work is a prime option for people in Paducah looking for employment.

The website, paducahremoteworkers.com, provides those interested in remote working opportunities with information about resume writing, remote job opportunities, in-demand skills for remote jobs, and a virtual job fair.

According to Harless, people in Paducah have seen a significant reduction in their wages.

“Because we live in a global economy with advanced communication technology, remote work can be a good option for those looking for employment during this time,” Harless said. “The website’s landing page also links to helpful tools to prepare for remote work and be competitive in the application process.”

There will be a virtual job fair on April 16 through the website Flexjobs. Those planning to attend the virtual job fair will need a Flexjob membership.

The launch of this website is a partnership among the City of Paducah, Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, Paducah/McCracken County NAACP, West Kentucky Community & Technical College, and West Kentucky Workforce Board.
