5th Annual Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K
The Annual Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K will take to Hopkinsville’s streets on the morning of Saturday, October 21st, with almost 300 runners scheduled to participate. The half marathon will begin at 8:00 AM, and the 5K will follow at 8:20 AM. The two courses will take runners through the streets of Downtown Hopkinsville, onto some of the scenic roads of Christian County including Gary Lane and Lafayette Road, and on portions of the Greenway Rail Trail.
Online registration for the race remains open through 7:30 AM of race day at hoptownhalf.com. Runners can still save on entry fees by registering early as the fees will go up to their final prices at midnight on October 20th. Current entry fees are $55 for the 5K and $85 for the half marathon. Entry includes a long-sleeve performance shirt and a unique finisher medal that features a waffle iron for the race tie-in with Hopkinsville’s “Batter Capital of the World” theme. Participants can pick up their race packets at the Race Expo on October 20th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, located at the Thomas Street Recreation Center, or in the Justice Center parking lot on race day before 7:30 AM.
