HCCPL Summer Reading Program: Build a Fairytale Terrarium
HCCPL Summer Reading Program: Build a Fairytale Terrarium
HCCPL continues its Summer Reading program "Fairytales, folktales, and myths" with a Fairy Terrarium Workshop on July 6 at 5 pm. The library has lots of little gnomes and fairies who need new homes. Come build a fantasy garden terrarium for your new friend and take them home. Materials and instruction will be provided. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.
HOW THE READING PROGRAM WORK:
The Summer Reading Program is open to readers of all ages divided into four categories: prereaders (0-4), kids (5-12), teens (13-17), and adults (18+). Registration is required. After registering, use one of our reading logs to track how many hours you've completed. Registration and reading logs are available at the HCCPL Front Desk or online at www.hccpl.org/summer-reading.
Participants will be awarded a goodie bag and a raffle ticket for the first five hours of reading completed. For every five hours completed after that, a raffle ticket will be awarded. All reading logs must be redeemed by July 7.
Prizes such as a drone, Dungeons and Dragons tabletop game, and hoverboard are up for grabs at the finale July 8. To claim your prize and tickets, bring reading logs to the HCCPL Front Desk. Any raffle prizes not collected by July 22 will be redrawn.
