JMAM Exhibiting artist, Lynn Pesoat will lead participants in printing & painting crocheted heart doilies using acrylic fabric paint onto canvas totes. These roomy bags can be used for years to carry groceries, books, & everything that matters. A non-instructional open group working from a live model. Easels available but bring your favorite supplies (others will be working with charcoal, graphite, watercolor, oils...if working with solvents, do use odorless). Sessions meet every 3rd Thursday morning at a new start time: 10:00am-noon. You are welcome to bring a lunch and socialize after. Adults only.
You can either pay online or drop in.

Join the twice-a-month knitting class. Learn to create a bag while learning basic knitting techniques. Attendees are responsible for bringing their own 5mm needles and yarn to create the project.

Join us on the Third Thursday of each month as we art journal using various collage elements. No art experience required! This is a great time to explore and play with different art techniques in a relaxed environment. An instructor will walk you through different steps of the process and each month will have a different journaling prompt. If you have art materials or a collection of ephemera you like working with you are encouraged to bring them to class. A non spiral bound sketchbook is encouraged but not required. All materials will be provided. Bring a friend, your favorite drink, and a desire to create art for yourself.

This workshop will focus on basic jewelry-making, including bead necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Participants will work with beads, elastic, wire, and a variety of clasps and hooks. A supply list will be provided upon registration on the Hopkinsville Art Guild's website.
Deadline to register is February 16th.
Registration limited to 12 people, free for Guild members, $35 for non members.
About the instructor: Sarah Brechwald is an attorney, veteran, military spouse, and mom of three young kids. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Oklahoma State University in 2008, followed by graduate school at Troy University and law school at the University of Texas at Austin. Sarah served in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) as an Army attorney from 2014-2018 and currently works as an attorney in private practice. She loves acrylic painting and all kinds of arts and crafts.
