Community Service Chair of the VT/PVC Jenna Albertson is coordinating the event. “The VT/Pre-Vet Club wanted to do something to help animals, to give back to the community and give dog owners a place to strut their mutts,” says Knaszak. “The run and walk will do that through fundraising and awareness-raising for the Humane Society and will be a fun event for people to participant in with their canine family members.”
The VT/PVC’s main goal is to provide extracurricular opportunities in animal health and veterinary medicine. Students hear speakers from across the country discussing issues in large animals, equine and small animal care programs, participate in campus activities and host community wide events.
