MHHCC and HRCHC's Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural & Culinary Conversations, Jewish Cuisine

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission of Hopkinsville-Christian County invite you to join The Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural & Culinary Conversations, an open group that will explore the diversity of our community through food. The club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation, and learning about other cultures through commensality, which means together at the table.

The Supper Club’s next meeting will be Thursday, June 8 and will meet at the Pennyroyal Area Museum at 6pm.

This month’s program features Alex Marcus, professor of Jewish Studies, and Rachel Colwell, professor of Ethnomusicology, who will be cooking special recipes of Jewish heritage. Marcus and Colwell will demonstrate two recipes featuring Jewish foods from different regions. Both recipes will be kosher and vegetarian. They will demonstrate these dishes, and guests will have the opportunity to taste and experience the cuisine. Guests will take home a recipe and any unique ingredients required to cook the dish at home. The cost to attend this delicious program will be $10.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Pennyroyal Area Museum or online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-supper-club-jewish-cuisine-tickets-643906590947.
