Women's History Month Panel Discussion "Faith and Reproductive Health"
On Thursday, March 26, West KY NOW teams up with the Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (KRCR), the First Presbyterian Church of Murray, and the MSU NOW Campus Action Network to host the panel discussion "Faith and Reproductive Health." Panelists include Rev. Muriel Schmid, Executive Director of KRCR, Rev. Brittany Sutherland, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Murray, and Li Irvine, member of the Episcopal Campus ministry and MSU NOW Campus Action Network secretary. The conversation will be facilitated by Lauren Hines. Join us to hear diverse voices of faith that are based on compassion, acceptance, and love, which challenge the dominant narrative of Christian nationalism. The panel will take place at the First Presbyterian Church of Murray (1601 Main Street) from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.
The event is free, but donations of travel size personal hygiene products (specifically body wash/soap, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant) will be accepted for donation to Murray State University's Oakley Resource Center, as well as period products for West KY NOW's Pad the Pantries Campaign.
