via Kentucky State Police

Four soldiers in the Kentucky National Guard were arrested this month on charges of sexual assault in west Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police said in a release on Wednesday the victim was provided alcohol and was sexually assaulted by the four suspects on June 3.

The suspects are 25-year-old Anthony Tubolino of Auburn, 19-year-old Tyler Hart of Bowling Green, and 21-year-old Austin Dennis and 22-year-old Jacob Ruth of Munfordville.

They were in Calloway County in preparation for weekend deployment.

The Calloway County Jail says the four have been released on bond.

Kentucky National Guard Adjutant General Major Stephen Hogan said in a release the incident damages morale, readiness and combat ability. He also said the National Guard would not take action against the soldiers until the KSP investigation is complete.
