Grand Jury Indicts Illinois Man in Connection with Shooting Death of Paducah Woman

A McCracken County grand jury has indicted an Illinois man in connection with the shooting death of a woman in Paducah in April. 

Paducah Police said 21-year-old Michael Evers of Belknap was served a warrant on the murder indictment on Wednesday.

Police were called to the Elmwood Court apartment complex in the early hours of April 5 where they found 42-year-old Sheila Lang and 31-year-old Clifford Moore with gunshot wounds. Lang was pronounced dead at a local hospital. 

Evers was arrested shortly after the incident in connection with Moore’s injuries.

He is lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. He is charged with murder.
