Verbal Threats From Martin, Tenn. Man Cause Lockdown Of Two Schools

Verbal threats from a Martin, Tennessee man led to the lockdown of two local schools Wednesday morning. 

The Martin Police Department says they received a call that a white male was making verbal threats about harming others at the City of Martin Recreational Complex.

Both Westview High School and Martin Middle School were placed on hard lockdown because the suspect was reported to have been near both schools.

According to police, the threats were not directed specifically towards either school. Police identified and detained 36-year-old Dustin Glisson.

He was unarmed and and charged with public intoxication. Martin Police said the incident is under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming. Both schools are no longer on lockdown.
