The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday scammers are calling local residents pretending to be police officers.
A release said the scam calls are directing people to special units in the department, such as claiming a victim is on the Sex Offender Registry and advising they come to the Sheriff’s Office for fingerprints. The sheriff’s office said they don’t call residents for personal information.
They are investigating the complaints.
