Spring undergraduate enrollment at the University of Tennessee at Martin is up by roughly 6 percent from last year.
The university said it's seen an enrollment increase of 355 undergraduate students for the spring 2019 semester. Director of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Destin Tucker said the increase comes from retention efforts.
The number of high school students earning credit through the university also increased. An additional 580 dual-enrollment students took courses this spring compared to last spring. That’s almost double the number from last year.
Total headcount, including both undergraduate and graduate-level students, increased by 5 percent.
