McCracken Co. Schools Names New Principals For High School, Lone Oak Middle

McCracken County Schools has named two new principals. 

Matt Houser will be the next principal of McCracken County High School. Houser has served as assistant principal house three at the high school. He previously worked as assistant principal at Lone Oak High School.

Coye Elliot will be the next principal of Lone Oak Middle School. Elliott has served as assistant principal at Graves County High School. He previously taught agriculture at McCracken County High School and served for a semester as interim assistant principal at the high school.

Both have bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Murray State University.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
