Stewart County Schools To Start August 3, Offer Virtual Learning Option

Stewart County Schools via Facebook

Stewart County Schools will begin the school year August 3.

Director Mike Craig said the schools will incorporate “additional protocols” to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The school system will also offer a virtual learning option for students whose parents have reservations due to “high-risk health concerns” about sending them back to school. Craig says the school system is currently meeting with vendors and providing professional development to staff for virtual learning.

A Facebook post from Stewart County Schools says virtual learning will include 180 days of six and a half hour long instruction. Attendance is required and all online assignments will be mandatory and graded.
