Graves County Schools Describe Online Option Through ‘Virtual Curriculum’

Graves County Schools via Facebook

Graves County Schools are offering in-class instruction this coming school year, as well as an online option through a program called Edgenuity.

In a press release Wednesday, the Board of Education said students using the virtual curriculum will work through grade appropriate courses in a self paced manner. Assigned teachers will monitor students’ performance, progress and grades.

Students in the virtual curriculum will receive progress reports at the end of each nine week grading period. The Board of Education said students who opt for virtual learning will need access to high quality internet service and frequent communication with course instructors. They said the rigor and time commitment of the virtual curriculum will be similar to that of the traditional setting.

Families wishing to pursue the virtual option should contact their student’s school beginning July 13 to July 22.
