WKCTC Hosts 6th Annual Earth Day Celebration, Saturday (Rain or Shine)

event flyer, westkentucky.kctcs.edu

A rain or shine event celebrating Earth Day is on the radar for this weekend. It's the 6th Annual Earth Day Concert in Carson Park in Paducah, and keeping with the environmental "teach-in" feel of the first Earth Day, April 22, 1970, there will be informational displays and concessions available with proceeds supporting the Greater Paducah Sustainability Project. On Sounds Good, Kate Lochte speaks with West Kentucky Community and Technical College Professor of Philosophy and Sociology David Nickell, who has the day's schedule.

WKCTC professor David Nickell is an organizer for the 6th Annual Earth Day Concert at Paducah's Carson Park's Floral Hall. It starts at noon on Saturday with activities for children. Music starts at 1, continuing into the evening.
