Paradise Gas Plant Project Nearly 75% Complete

Construction at a combined cycle gas plant in Muhlenberg County is nearly 75% complete.

The Tennessee Valley Authority estimates the Paradise plant will provide 30 to 40 jobs when it opens. Once complete, TVA says the plant will provide 1,025 megawatts of power for the region.

Two aging units on the site run on coal and are being replaced by gas plants.

The project began in March 2015.
