McCracken County Haunted Houses Subject To Safety Inspections

Wikimedia Commons

The McCracken County Inspection Department will require haunted houses within the county to have a business license and be subject to inspection this Halloween season. Chief Inspector David Flowers said the inspection is something they started last year after complaints of people tripping over extension cords and mice feces. He said haunted houses need to be up to sanitary and safety standards, especially when children are present. As for the license, Flowers said any establishment that generates an income in the county should possess a business license. Licenses fees are  based off a business’ net profit.
