Paducah Police say two children were injured in a pre-school bus collision earlier Thursday.

Around noon, Yul Reese of Bowling Green was driving a Nissan Maxima on south 13th Street in Paducah when he hit a Paducah Independent Schools bus in the rear wheel on the passenger side.

Bus driver Erica Wooldridge says she had to swing out in the intersection to make a wide right turn onto Park Avenue.  Reese says he thought the bus was going straight through the intersection.

18 preschoolers were on board during the collision. 2 children were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Mercy Ambulance personnel.

Reese and his passenger declined medical treatment.
