The Animal Health and Pre-Veterinary students at Murray State University hold Animal Health Technology Day this Saturday from 8 to 4 at the Carman Animal Health Building on College Farm Road. Services available include microchipping, baths, nail trimming, ear cleaning, heartworm tests, FIV/FELV tests, and physical exams.
The Homeplace 1850s Farm holds a Quilting Bee this Saturday and Sunday. Visitors help complete a handmade quilt started by the farm family. Visit with the blacksmith at 1 p.m. both days, and from 1 to 3 p.m. stop by the kitchen for sweet treats made on a wood stove. More at landbetweenthelakes.us.
The Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau is accepting applications for its spring Citywide Yard Sale, set for May 2nd. Apply for placement on the yard sale map, which includes a description of items at each location. Fees and applications due April 28 to the Murray CVB. Entry fees help fund Freedom Fest. S
