Former HHS Band Director Peveler Appears In Court

The former Hopkinsville High School band director charged with felony offenses involving a minor appeared in Christian District Court on Friday.

Jordan Seth Peveler will continue his preliminary hearing on June 21 at 9 a.m.

Peveler’s bond will be reduced from $10,000 dollars to $7,500 dollars, but he must wear an ankle monitor. Peveler will also withdraw his public defender and be represented by local attorney Sands Chewning.

Peveler was arrested on June 5 and charged with third degree rape, third degree sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor. He is no longer employed with the Christian County School System.
