The Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge in Paducah will be closed until November First for additional maintenance.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the closure on May 8 was originally scheduled to be 30 days, but a widening of concrete repairs is required on one pier. Two additional piers will receive concrete repairs.
The bridge closed when illegal truck traffic created safety issues for workers.
Motorists should detour on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge.
