Kentucky State Parks Offer Adventure Quest

Kentucky's state parks are offering a trivia and digital photo contest for families and friends. The Family Adventure Quest presents a series of challenges that teams complete by seeking out places or subjects in state parks and supplying a photo as the answer.

Teams of two to six people have until Dec. 5 to complete the quests. State parks officials say the photo contest is a way to get people to explore natural and historic sites. Some challenges are park-specific, but most can be answered at any number of parks. A few can even be answered at home.

Teams who complete 10 quests will receive a certificate for a one-night stay at a park lodge and passes to park museums or forts.

Whitney grew up listening to Car Talk to and from her family’s beach vacation each year, but it wasn’t until a friend introduced her to This American Life that radio really grabbed her attention. She is a recent graduate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., where she studied journalism. When she’s not at WKMS, you can find her working on her backyard compost pile and garden, getting lost on her bicycle or crocheting one massive blanket.
