The McCracken County Public Schools Director of Pupil Personnel was back to work on Monday, following the county attorney’s dismissing of a charge against him on Friday.
McCracken County Director of Public Relations Jayme Jones confirmed Brian Bowland was reinstated. High School Principal Michael Ceglinski is still on leave with pay. Ginger Stewart is serving as interim principal.
Bowland and Ceglinski were facing charges of 2nd degree official misconduct, but those were dismissed by County Attorney Sam Clymer on Friday. Clymer said in a letter he no longer believed the facts of the case support the misconduct charge.
Ceglinski is still facing a remaining charge of failure to report child dependency, abuse or neglect in violation with KRS 620.030.
