The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is holding a public meeting Tuesday evening (June 11) to discuss the proposed reconstruction of U.S. Highway 60 in Ballard County. The highway connects Paducah to the U.S. 51 Ohio River bridge.
“There’s a lot of commuter traffic on this section from folks in Ballard County that say work in Paducah or maybe they’re from Paducah and work in Ballard County," said KYTC spokesperson Keith Todd.
Todd said the project has been on hold for the past few years but they’re hoping to do preliminary work in anticipation of funding.
KYTC personnel and consultants working on the project will accept public comments about proposed improvements at the meeting.
The public meeting is at the Ballard County Economic Center and Industrial Board Office in Kevil from 5-7 p.m.
