A UT Martin Rodeo team member died over the weekend from injuries received during a competition in New Jersey. Coy Lutz had just completed his freshman year at the school.
The Pennsylvania native was 19 years old. He set career-highs across the board in bareback riding at the 48th Annual UT Martin Spring College Rodeo. Before attending UT Martin, Lutz graduated from Bald Eagle Senior High School in Bellefonte, Pa.
