Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is facing 10 counts of murder in the first degree and one count of attempted murder over the horrific attack at a King Soopers supermarket.

Ten people died in the shooting at a Colorado grocery store on Monday. They ranged in age from 20 to 65. Here are their stories, as we learn them.

The president said the upper chamber needs to pass legislation approved by the House earlier this month, which would tighten gun laws including background checks.

"This is a real horror and terror for all of us," said Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, who said he has shopped at the same store where gunfire erupted on Monday.

Officials said one male suspect is in custody. The attack comes less than a week after a series of shootings in the Atlanta area.
