A day after Rep. Thomas Massie, a northern Kentucky Republican, took the first step in forcing a vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files, survivors rallied at the U.S. Capitol in support.

Republican Congressman James Comer addressed the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Tuesday on the stage of the Carson Center in the far western Kentucky city’s downtown.

The judge unseals hundreds of pages of documents related to a now-settled defamation suit brought against Maxwell by one of Jeffrey Epstein's accusers.

The charges are related Maxwell's alleged role in the sexual abuse of several young woman and girls by the late financier. The longtime Epstein associate was arrested earlier this month.

"Maxwell was among Epstein's closest associates and helped him exploit girls who were as young as 14 years old," said Audrey Strauss, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
