A Kentucky organization is looking to help anyone in need of free menstrual products through a network of pantries it plans to set up across the Commonwealth.

Menstrual products are currently subject to sales tax in Kentucky. But a proposal at the General Assembly seeks to change that.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Thursday the government will work with suppliers to get free period products into schools in June, building off a pilot program started last year.
