Law enforcement have cleared the Caldwell County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was called into the building earlier that morning.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says work on a new bridge near the border of Caldwell and Trigg Counties is set to begin this week. 

The bridge would carry Kentucky 276 / Blackhawk Road across Long Pond Branch near Wallonia. The road has remained closed after heavy rain washed away the culvert.

A Caldwell County teenager has died after the all-terrain vehicle that he was riding crashed. Caldwell County Coroner Dewayne Trafford says 14-year-old Avery Warfield died from a head injury Sunday evening.
