Saturday night, The Carson Center fills with music as the Paducah Symphony Orchestra's 2014-2015 season starts. Artistic Director and Conductor Raffaele Ponti has brought a breadth of vision, clarity of interpretation and rich beauty of sound to the Symphony during his tenure and is known for his concise, but charming introductions to program selections. The Encore Series Piano Recital by Pompa-Baldi starts at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Paducah. His program includes works by Liszt, Chopin and Debussy.
