Saturday, April 27th • 1pm-5pm
You will need to bring 1 Frame w/backing (no glass) no larger than 11x14 - (Don’t forget to thrift your frame!), and a Hot Glue Gun/glue sticks. Tweezers are highly recommended!
All other supplies (backing felt and jewelry pieces) will be provided! Feel free to bring any special pieces you might want to include in your Art. (Backgrounds, embellishments)
This is a 4 hour class, so a snack will also be provided!
Cost: $60 members / $65 non-members

Join us for An Afternoon with the Author 2-3 p.m. April 27 at Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St. This session will feature Kimberly France who penned "Black Settlements in Southern Illinois."
France will share with guests how she used many of our library resources, especially Genealogy services, to complete research for her book.

The group is composed of 4 guys who have sung since childhood. Ditannual (Doc) Hutchison from Detroit city sang with many groups and traveled with The Legends in Concert. William Gill started singing in church as a child and has sung with Motown groups all over. Recording artist Gerald Lyles started the group Chapter 8 in which he performed with Anita Baker. AJSR is a former Columbia Records Recording Artist and a member of The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra In Unison Chorus, traveling all over the world.

With eye-catching costumes, stunning choreography they perform timeless hits from the Temptations, Drifters, Four Tops, Coasters and others. A self-taught artist and cabinet maker from Fulton, Kentucky, Henderson was an artist with a disability whose paintings and carved birds of the southern United States won accolades and fans among art collectors and others.
A launch party for this exhibit will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. with a short program discussing Henderson’s art with Discovery Park senior director of exhibits and collections, Jennifer Wildes. This event is FREE for all guests. Light refreshments will be served.
