Paducah PD: Two Men Charged With 28 Counts Of Firearm Possession, One Arrested

Authorities have arrested two people and continue to search for a man in connection to allegedly stealing 29 stolen firearms from Illinois.

Police received a tip Wednesday evening about three suspects that brought a shipment of weapons to Paducah to sell. They fled on foot.

 

Paducah Police report Willie Wiseman of Galatin, Illinois is still at-large and faces 28 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property and first-degree possession of methamphetamine. He is considered armed and dangerous.

 

Public Information Officer Robin Newberry says that this is the largest recovery of stolen weapons that’s she seen in her 20 years at the police department.

 

“As far as I know, we have not run across anything like this before, at least not in the past few years,” Newberry said.

 

Police arrested Eric Brantley of Madisonville, Kentucky turned himself in at the Pope County Sheriff’s Department in Golconda, Illinois on Thursday apparently after he saw himself on television.

 

McCracken County Sheriff Department says law enforcement arrested Amanda Ball of Carmi, Illinois on two charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
