An annual listing of the best high schools in the country has ranked Murray High School the tenth-best in Kentucky.
U.S. News and World Report gives Murray High School a silver medal in their 2017 rankings, noting the school’s 98% graduation rate. The school also has a 41 on the College Readiness Index - based on AP test participation and scoring.
Murray is the only school in far west Kentucky in the top 20. McCracken County High School came in at 24 and Hopkinsville High School ranked 30th.
Dupont Manual High School in Louisville came in first in the commonwealth.
