Madisonville Police Department To Replace Patrol Car Computers

Madisonville PD

The Madisonville Police Department is looking to update its squad car computers.  Madisonville Police Chief Wade Williams said their current computers are eight years old and completely worn down.

The Madisonville City Council has approved spending $22,000 to purchase new police equipment after finding extra money from Alcohol and Beverage Control tax revenues.

Williams said his police officers use the computers for dispatch calls, running checks and warrants, writing citations and submitting accident reports.

Williams said the department is exploring every option, including tablet versions. He said officers may not have the new equipment until November.
